 About Us
CHILDREN
Our extensive selection in infant's and preschooler footwear all include styles in half sizes and multiple widths. This is especially important for babies whose growing feet should not be tightly confined, as is often the case with sneakers available only in medium widths.

ADULT
We don't start out in life with painful feet, but often end up with them. One of the first things to check is the shoe fit. Feet do change with age, and manufactures patterns vary considerably by style so the shoe size you might have worn for the past 20 years may or may not be the best for you today. In fact, the required size depends as much on the style of the shoe as it does on your foot. The last the shoe is constructed on ought to be a shape that is suitable for your foot.  The brands we stock are known for their high quality and extensive range of sizes and widths.

Many feet have pronounced bunion joints or hammer toes. For these standard lasts may never provide an adequate fit. The solution might be shoes that have greater than standard depth to the forepart, while maintaining a snug heel and arch fit.  We carry a selection of shoes of this type in stock.

Often shoes alone are not enough to alleviate foot pain.  We carry an extensive line of heel cushions, toe protectors, and both soft and firm arch supports. When considering these, especially the full length insoles or arch supports, bear in mind that they can take up considerable room in a shoe. In this case it is best to fit the orthotic and the shoe at the same time, since the foot, shoe, and orthotic must all work together properly to aleviate pain. Frequently the footwear must have a removable inlay that is discarded to make room for the orthotic.

Many long term diabetics suffer from foot insensitivity due to peripheral neuropathy. Footcare and shoe fit is especially important to this population. Simple but constant attention pays big dividends in comfort and function.
